December 2022

WATER WONDERLAND

Theme: Water needs to be incorporated into the artwork - from a mere drop to an ocean to any way we can express this vital element in our art. This theme is intended to be inclusive and open to artists interpretation.

Receiving: Monday, December 5, 2022, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. 

Reception: Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 5 pm to 6:30 p.m.
Removal: Monday, January 2, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Eligibility: This is a CCAL Member Show. This show is open to CCAL members only. The Show Chair will determine if artwork meets fine art criteria and is accepted. Exhibiting artists mus show current membership card at receiving.

EXPRESS YOURSELF

Theme: Reveal your thoughts, emotions or feelings through your art. This theme is meant to be inclusive and open to artistic interpretation. 

Receiving: Monday, November 7, 2022 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. 

Reception: Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Removal: Monday, December 5, 2022 from 12 noon to 3 p.m.

Eligibility: This is a juried All Council Member Show. This show is open to CCAL members and Art Council of Southwest Florida members. The Judge will determine if artwork meets fine art criteria and is accepted. Exhibiting artists must show current membership card at receiving.

#11, Martha Cantu BOYS WILL BE BOYS, Oil Judge’s Comment: “This piece embodies everything I look for in a winner. The composition is superb. The theme of the show is perfectly translated into the work and the control of the medium is admirable. Kudos!"

#14, Rich Goodnight 16 MOMENTS, Pastel Judge’s Comment: "I am truly captivated by the overall composition and the small details of each part. I enjoyed the “uncommon” concept and how it relates to the theme of the show. I could look at it for days!"

#18, Pat St. Onge BIRD FALLS, Mixed Media Judge’s Comment: “The surrealism of this piece is what had me staring and marveling for a long time. The scenery is sort of intriguing and beautifully executed. I can feel the love in nature in this work. Beautiful!"

#4, Paul David Adamick I LOVE FLOWERS AND YOU, Mixed Media Judge’s Comment: “It is hard to not find this piece one of the most 'expressive' in the show. I love the boldness of colors and the unapologetic use of wires, creating a very unique 3D effort. Love it!"
