 HISTORY

The Cape Coral Art League (CCAL) was chartered in 1965 as a not-for-profit 501c3 and 501a2 charity organization that promotes the advancement of art throughout Southwest Florida.  It was incorporated in 1966 to promote the advancement of art in Cape Coral and nearby areas.  The current studio location was built and opened in the fall of 1984.  A beautiful gallery addition was opened in April 1991. With the help of a state grant a second art room studio was built in 2002 providing more space for art classes, workshops and many more art events.

The League offers year-round classes for adults, youth and children; eight major art exhibits each year in our gallery; other art shows, including our annual art fair; workshops with world-renowned artists and scholarship programs.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the CCAL web page!  Our new season has begun and it is an exciting one.  There are some fantastic workshops being offered by nationally known artists and teachers.  Pat Gilbert has a full list of classes for everyone, beginner to expert in watercolor, oils, or acrylics.  Check out the listings here and enroll online using PayPal, or grab a flyer and sign up at the office.  You can hold a place in a workshop with a deposit.  If you have questions, or want to signup over the phone, call the office and talk to Nancy.  She will be glad to help you out.

Our first show, Color Our World, is a big success with seventy entries.  Stop in and admire the beautiful work on display.  I'm sure you will be inspired, as I was.

I hope to see you at the next meeting, November 3.   Until then, keep your brushes wet!
