                                    HISTORY

The Cape Coral Art League (CCAL) was chartered in 1965 as a not-for-profit 501c3 and 501a2 charity organizationthat promotes the advancement of art throughout Southwest Florida.  It was incorporated in 1966 to promote the advancement of art in Cape Coral and nearby areas.  The current studio location was built and opened in the fall of 1984.  A beautiful gallery addition was opened in April 1991. With the help of a state grant a second art room studio was built in 2002 providing more space for art classes, workshops and many more art events.

The League offers year-round classes for adults, youth and children; eight major art exhibits each year in our gallery; other art shows, including our annual art fair; workshops with world-renowned artists and scholarship programs.

JANUARY 2013 MEETING.
                          PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Welcome to our website.  I hope you check out the many opportunities we offer at CCAL to learn from talented artists through classes and workshops, to display and sell your work and meet other artists at shows, open painting and meetings.  You will find lists of classes and workshops here and on flyers available at our facility.

We have a marvelous facility and many talented artists and teachers among our 200 or so members.  Come to a meeting on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 to socialize with other artists and see what we are all about!  There is always an interesting demonstration of some art form.

I hope you will be inspired to join the league and take advantage of our offerings or perhaps purchase a one of a kind gift in our gift shop.  And don't miss our monthly art shows!  Wine and cheese receptions for each show are held the first Thursday of the month.  It is always a lovely time.  I hope to see you there.
